Badami, Robert "Bob" 89, of Spring Hill, Florida sailed his final voyage into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 4th 2022 after nobly battling the challenges of Parkinson's disease.
Bob was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1932 to Jenny and Charles Badami. He was the oldest of 3 siblings, 2 brothers and one sister. Bob was determined to emulate his beloved Uncle William Pranzitelli and become a businessman after serving in the military. After growing up with the 50th street boys and graduating from New Utrecht High School, he enlisted in the Navy for 4 years, and served in the Korean War. As a Tin Can sailor he spent a lot of time in Cuba and around the world, but he never did quite make it to Australia. One month after his discharge he and his loving wife of 66 years, Santa (nee Romeo) were married, and after many stepping stones and 2 children, he did become a successful Manhattan businessman. After Retirement, Santa and Bob moved to Timber Pines where a new life of fun and beautiful friends surrounded them for over 30 years.
Bob is survived by his wife Santa, daughter Donna Lynn Badami, brother Louis (Gail) Badami and sister Carla (Paul) Zuckerman. He is survived by his grandchildren Bridget (Ethan) Smallwood, Lauren Osborn; and great-grandchildren Kristiana, Addison, Leo and Juniper. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews from the Badami, Romeo, and Pranzitelli family lines. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, son William Badami and brother Phillip Badami.
A visitation is planned for Tuesday October 11th 2022. From 4:00pm-7:00pm At Turner Funeral Home 14360 Spring Hill drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609, A funeral service will be held Wednesday October 12th 9:00am-11:00am at Turner Funeral Home 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609 followed by a burial at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens. All are invited to attend.
