Phyllis J. Albrecht passed away May 12 at the age of 90. She was born Dec. 1, 1924 in Crab Orchard, WV, grew up in the Richlands, Greenbrier County, WV and graduated from Lewisburg WV High School. In 1947, she moved to Washington, DC for work at the Navy Dept. for about 27 years with 23 years spent at the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Lab (AFRRI) located at the Bethesda Naval Hospital grounds. She married for 65 years Harold Albrecht on Jan 12, 1950 and they had 2 daughters, Patricia and Pamela Albrecht. Phyllis and her family moved to Maryland in 1957, until her retirement there in 1986, whereby she and her husband moved to Spring Hill, Fl. She has been a member of First United Methodist Church on Spring Hill Drive for about 29 years and active with the Ladies Group, Craft and Bazaar activities there. Phyllis and Harold loved spending many years traveling throughout the U.S. visiting grandchildren and sightseeing. She also enjoyed sewing, reading and making pottery. She will be greatly missed by her family, whereby she leaves her husband, Harold Albrecht of Spring Hill, daughter Patricia Albrecht Marchington, of Chantilly, VA, daughter Pamela Albrecht McMillian of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren Garet Marchington of Bozeman, MT, Darby and Skylar McMillian of Knoxville, TN, cousins/friends Ron and Irene Cummings of Weyers Cave, VA and numerous cousins. Phyllis is preceded in death by grandchildren Jessica Albrecht and Sean Marchington. Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 9344 Spring Hill Drive on Monday May 18, 2015 from 9:00am until time of service at 10:00am. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 12:30 pm.
