Mr. Michael Antonio Procida was a wonderful man with a kind, loving and compassionate heart for people and he loved The Lord. He was born in Naples, Italy where he grew up with his parents and 5 sisters. He eventually served in the Italian Military for a short period and then became a prestigious barber and hair stylist. He was known for his stylish tendencies and committed himself to detailed works of perfection, resulting in winning several awards for his performances. He came to visit America and loved this country. He knew this was where he wanted to settle. Upon his return to Naples, he met the love of his life, Antonietta. After courting her, they developed a beautiful relationship which led them to move to Chicago, Illinois and become united in Holy matrimony, as husband and wife.
He proceeded to become an American Citizen and entered into a family business of grocery retail as well as continuing to perform barber and hairstylist services privately. After working as a butcher and in the produce department, he recognized how much he enjoyed the detail of being able to create beautiful displays, offer quality products and share his love of people in the community. He and his wife had 2 beautiful daughters whom they raised with the same love and ethics they both shared. He always had music playing, enjoyed cooking, eating, entertaining and being with people.
They later moved to Florida to be closer to their children, grandchildren, Michael’s mom and sisters’ families. Family was Michael’s heart. He loved nothing more than being together with his family and sharing life, love, laughter, music and of course delicious Italian cuisine. He was satisfied by the simple things in life and was always willing to help or provide for anyone in need. He was the patriarch of the family and will be missed tremendously.
