KENDRICK, SR., Martin E., “Marty”, 78, passed peacefully on February 20, 203 in Spring Hill, Florida as a result of heart and kidney failure. Martin was born in Portland, Maine to James F. and Anna (King) Kendrick on July 18, 1944. He was raised in Bellmore, Long Island, New York where he graduated from Mepham High School. Martin worked as a carpenter in New York before retiring and moving to Florida with his wife Sue in 2001. Together for almost sixty years, Marty and Sue spent some of their happiest times living in Florida. He loved his dogs, enjoyed traveling in their motor home and dining out. Marty was a friendly and selfless man and gave to many charities regularly. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, James M. and William K., and his sister Judith A. Mezzacapo. Martin is survived by his wife: Sue Kendrick; son and daughter-in-law: Martin E. Jr., and Claudine Kendrick; daughter and son-in-law: Tina Marie and Kevin McClenahan; four grandchildren: Cristiana and Martin E. Kendrick, III; Casey and Carah McClenahan; one great-granddaughter: Adelynn; many cousins, nieces and nephews and many close friends. Martin requests that memorial donations be made to one of his favorite charities: Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW.org); Operation Smile (operationsmile.org); St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org); Jericho Road Ministries, Inc. (Jericho-road.net); or Best Friends Animal Society (bestfriends.org).
