Mark Sherman, age 57, of Brooksville, Florida, died on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Bayfront Healthcare Brooksville. Mark was an 11 years resident of Brooksville coming from Lutz, Fl where he lived for 10 years, and coming from Tampa, Fl where he lived for 7 years before coming from Iowa. Mark was born on August 18, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, IA. To Marvin and Betty (Brunsen) Sherman. Mark worked for 21 years as a Senior Software Engineer for Zeppelin Systems USA. Mark was very active in Boy Scouting, and was a Committee Chair Person and Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scout Troop #71 @ Brooksville United Methodist Church, in Brooksville, FL. Mark loved Scouting, camping, fishing, and was widely known as a trickster. Mark was of Christian faith and attended at the First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Sherman in August 2005. Mark is lovingly survived by his wife, Cindy Sherman of Brooksville, FL. and they were married in 1991 in Muscatine, Iowa. Mark leaves behind his daughter, Jamie Sherman of Pensacola, FL. and sons; Alec Sherman and Kyle Sherman both of Brooksville, father, Marvin Sherman, of Wilton, IA, sister, Nancy Cross, of Wilton, IA, and niece, Hannah Cross of Waterloo, IA. Marks’s family and friends will gather at the First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill, 9344 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34608. The Memorial Service will be held at the church on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 10 am, with Pastor Greg Freeze officiating. A reception will follow the services in the church’s fellowship hall. Funeral Arrangements and cremation are entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mark’s honor may be made to the Boy Scout Troop #71, c/o First United Methodist Church of Brooksville, 109 S. Broad Street, Brooksville, FL. 34601.
