Lynn Bruce, 80, of Brooksville, Florida passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017. Lynn was born in Orlando, Fla., and raised in Brooksville, by her parents Jack Gordon Endsley and Thurma Wenona Endsley (Alchin). Married to her beloved husband Harold "Philip" Bruce on November 9, 1957, they raised their children in Orlando, Florida from 1958 to 1985. They returned to Brooksville in 1986 following Philip's retirement from Martin Marietta. Lynn was a distinguished graduate of Hernando High School Class of 1954 and University of Florida Class of 1958 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. A hospital volunteer at Orlando Regional Medical Center, and after moving to Brooksville, enjoyed many years as a hostess at Rodger's Christmas House. Lynn was a woman of extraordinary intelligence, grace, humor and insight. She was a devoted mother, and her ability to express unconditional love and empathy for anyone who sought her guidance resulted in many affectionately calling her "Mom". She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by loving parents, along with her big brother Elkin Douglas "Bo" Endsley. She is survived by her husband Harold Philip Bruce, her children Douglas Philip Bruce, Gary Lee Bruce and his wife Beverly, Stacy Lynn Wiles and her husband Barry; grandchildren Brittany Ann Hajek (Bruce) and her husband Lawrence, Zachary Bruce, Erin Bruce, Abby Bruce, Cameron Wiles and Tristan Wiles; great-grandchildren Gabriel Lorenzo Hajek and Marcelo Hajek.
Memorial service will be 9am Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Turner Funeral Home in Spring Hill. Committal services will follow to Brooksville cemetery.
