Lydia Ineztine Samuels also known as "Auntie Luna"was born Sept 18, 1925 in Smithville, Clarendon in Jamaica. Lydia immigrated to England where she was a member of the fraternal order of Scottish Rights, before immigrating to The United States.She was married for 50 years to Lloyd Samuels. Together they share 5 children. Preceded in death by Marcia and Bobby along with 3 surviving children: Fredrick, Lorna and Joan along with 10 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and one on the way, as well as a host of niece's and nephew's.
Lydia lived a full life serving others. She was a caregiver to entertainment professionals, a hairdresser; she gifted her time to help teach at Joanne's Fabrics. In retirement, gram had many hobbies that included knitting, crocheting, quilting, needlepoint; cooking but most of all, she loved her family and friends. Everyone who has ever had the privilege of meeting and knowing Lydia has loved her. From hospital personnel to her next door neighbors.

A funeral service will occur Friday, February 25, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. A reception will occur Friday, February 25, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. An entombment will occur Friday, February 25, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, 14354 SPRING HILL DR, SPRING HILL, FL 34609.
