Leonard served in the United States Army from 1961-1969. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Chau, whom he met and married while serving in Vietnam. Together they have 3 daughters, Loan (Brian) LeMasters of Dunnellon, FL, Lisa Roger of New Port Richey, FL, Stephanie (Gregory) Hallmark of Bloomington, IL and 5 grandchildren. Asia LeMasters of Morton, IL, Marvin Hearn Jr of Aurora, CO, Ian LeMasters of Aurora, CO, Blaine Hallmark of Colorado Springs, CO and Addison Hallmark of Bloomington, IL.
Leonard was a welder at Caterpillar and Morton Metalcraft before retiring in 1996. He enjoyed working with his hands spending time in his woodshop and volunteering with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
A private military service will be held at Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL where he will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation www.t2t.org or Friends of Animal Services, Inc www.fpcas.org
