John was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the NYPD 10-13 Club, VFW Post 10209, and the USS Mullany Veterans. He was NYPD police officer before moving from Glendale, NY to Fl in 1983. He was an entrepreneur and owned several business', including building maintenance services, building contracting, janitorial supplies and real estate investments. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth M. McCloud; children, John V. McCloud III, Michael (Darlene) McCloud and Kathleen (Ron) Gosline; and grandchildren, John IV, Michael Jr., Kate, Ryan and Sydney.
A visitation held Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, where services will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial and Navy Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
