Johanna M Davis

Johanna Magdalena Davis, age 88, of Brooksville, Florida passed away June 29, 2016. She was born in Fischbach, Germany to Kunigunda Limmer. One of Johanna’s fondest childhood memories was walking from Germany to the Czechoslovakian border to pick raspberries in the fields with her friends. She married the late Charles Edward Davis in April 30, 1955. Some favorite pastimes and hobbies were spending time with family, gardening, and watching baseball and tennis on television. Her children, grandchildren and dog Candy always made her smile. Johanna’s favorite songs were the Chicken Dance and Edelweiss from The Sound of Music. She is survived by her children: Chester Davis, Robert Davis, Darrell Davis, Charlotte Post, Charlene Peyton, Darla Platt and their respective spouses; grandchildren: Christopher Davis, Angela Carlile, Sarah Ross, Alexander Horony, Jessica Davis, Zachary Davis, Nichole Petyon, Matthew Peyton, Erika Millet, and Carly Asbel; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members. A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 3, 2016, 11 am at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, 14354 Spring Hill Dr., Spring Hill, FL 34609.
