CWO4, James Edward Walden, Sr.US Navy, Retired, 72, of Brooksville, Florida passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017. He was born in Waverly, New York to Lynn R. and Phyllis (Munn) Walden. He was a decorated US Navy Officer for 30 years and of the Christian faith. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn, and stepmother, Peggy Walden, his mother, Phyllis, and stepfather, Charles Predmore and his brother, Jack Walden. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn A. Walden; son James E. Walden, Jr; step-son Marc Szewczyk and wife Emily; daughter Kristine Walden-Brown and husband Dan; sisters Connie Walden, Carol Ann Carpenter and husband Lamont; Denise Dilfield and husband Mark, and Diane Martin and significant other Rob; grandchildren, Rebecca Sotherden, Nicholas Walden, Paul, Evan and Sam Szewczyk, and great grandson, Gage. Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday, August 25, 2017. Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, August 26, 2017 all located at Turner Funeral Home 14360 Spring Hill Dr. Spring Hill, Florida 34609. Burial will take place at the Saint James Cemetery in Trumansburg, New York with full military honors.
