Dennis Michael Andrews

He was born in Miami Beach, Florida on April 11, 1953 to Robert Martin and Virginia Lou Andrews.

Dennis graduated from North Miami Senior High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Eckerd College. He was married to Deborah Reeve Andrews on June 26, 1976.

Dennis worked for 35 years as a professional firefighter paramedic for Hialeah Fire Rescue, Spring Hill Fire Rescue, and Lake County Fire Rescue. He was also an instructor at the Florida State Fire College in Ocala, Florida. Dennis went on to work for Hernando County Emergency Management, the Hernando County Building Department, and was an independent tool distributor for Matco tools before retiring.

Dennis loved fishing, fixing things, working on cars, and woodworking, but he mostly enjoyed being “Pop Pop” to his two granddaughters.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Debbie Andrews; daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Caskie; son, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Andrews; granddaughters, Mackenzie Caskie and Natalie Andrews; brother, Craig (Stephanie) Andrews; and sister, Kathy (Christine) Andrews.

A Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, November 24, 2023 and 11:00am-1:00pm, Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Merritt Funeral Home-Spring Hill, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday. Interment will immediately follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens in Spring Hill, Florida.
