Bridget Sereda

Born in Tulla, Ireland on February 8, 1937, she attended nursing school in Ireland before coming over on a boat to the United States.

Bridget met her husband, John J. Sereda in Chicago and married on July 24, 1965. She had a career in nursing and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She loved fishing with her grandchildren, playing cards and working in the yard.

She is survived by her children, Maria (John Jr.) Ferrara; Sean (Karen) Sereda; grandchildren, John Ferrara III, Alexander Ferrara, Luke Ferrara, Dylan Sereda, Kaitlyn Sereda, Brandon Sereda and Ryan Sereda; great grandchildren, Brody Ferrara, Danielle Ferrara, Isabelle Ferrara; and siblings, Teresa, Pat, Noel, Lucy and Kitty.

A celebration of life for Bridget will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, April 15, 2022 at Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609, where a reception will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A committal service will follow at the Florida National Cemetery Bushnell, FL.
