Born September 2, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Alfred and Dorothy Oldaker. Betty married her beloved husband, Jack Mahoney, on Long Island on June 15, 1946. She lived in Valley Stream, Wantagn, and Massapequa, all in Long Island, New York, before moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1973 where she worked as a Medical Insurance Manager for 20 years. In 1987 she settled in to Timber Greens Country Club, Spring Hill, Florida.
She was a faithful servant to the Lord. As a parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill, Florida, she served as an Usher and dedicated time to the Rosary Makers group. She enjoyed golf, swimming, boating, dogs, cats, and all living creatures.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Mahoney and her son, Gerald John Mahoney. She is survived by her son, John Kevin Mahoney; grandchildren, Shannon Arseneau and Kevin M. Mahoney; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Arseneau, Haley Mahoney, and Kylie Arseneau.
