

Macdonald, "Tampa Ted" Barclay Edward, 74 a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area died with his family at his side at James A. Haley VA Hospital on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Tampa Ted, as he is fondly known in the motorcycle community, was a true two-wheeled warrior who rode more than 1,000,000 miles over 66 years. His 1986 Harley Davidson FXRS called Solitude clocked just over 349,000 of those miles alone. Tampa Ted was an active member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG), an organization of over 1,000,000 members. He was the only member to compete in, and win the ABCs of touring - twice. Ted was a local member of the Cigar City HOG Chapter in Tampa as well the HOG Chapter in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Ted graduated from Largo High School and proudly served our country in the US Army. He is survived by his life partner Barbara Summers of Tampa, his son Edward and his wife Tarah, granddaughter Ryliegh of Port Richey, and stepson Tiger Summers of Ft. Lauderdale. He will be interred with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, May 1, 2015. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Wounded Warriors project.
