Richard E West, 86, of Long Lake, died Saturday, November 17, 2012, at home.
He was born December 15, 1925 in Chicago Illinois to Parents Reginald and Helen (Newlands) West
Dick served in the U. S. Navy during WWII from Dec. 28, 1942 until Dec. 19, 1946 serving in the Asiatic Pacific, American Theatre and the European-African-Middle East.
He loved to travel, take his family R.V. camping, and fishing. Dick was known for grilling turkey for Oktoberfest or any other event! He loved spaghetti, usually eating it at least once a week.
Dick is survived by his daughters Cindy and Pam; son R.T; grandsons Adam and Josh; nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty, sister Helen, and his parents.
