Wilma J. Ross, wife of Donald M. Ross, passed away peacefully in her sleep April 4, 2017 at Hospice House of Spokane. She is survived by two of her daughters, Dana L’Wood, Santa Cruz, CA and Teresa Turpin, Spokane, WA. Oldest daughter Jeanne Ryan, deceased. Wilma was born in Carey, ID, where she moved on to Bremerton, WA to work in the shipyards in Bremerton, WA. Her family fondly referred to her as Rosy the Riveter. Later having lived in Oakland, CA, Springfield, MO and Salt Lake City, UT, she and her husband settled in Provo, UT where she retired from a management position at Provo City Power and Light. They then moved to Spokane in l995 to spend their remaining years near her daughter, Teresa and family, where she will be sorely missed. Wilma and her husband Don, of 58 years, loved to travel, enjoying many sights and places in the United States. She was often heard saying “Let’s just get in the car and drive.” A Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2:00 PM at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home.
