Warren D. Walker age 70 of Spokane, Washington, passed away on July 25, 2023. He was born on June 10, 1953 in Spokane, Washington. He graduated from Shadle Park High School and Eastern Washington University with a Bachelors of Arts. Warren achieved the rank of Major in the Army and retired honorably.
In 1987, Warren married Kiyomi Nakamoto. He was very active and was deeply involved in the Alzheimer’s Association, the Spokane Bicycle Club, and the Spokane Rifle Club.
Warren enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities, especially camping and bicycling. His family and friends will always remember him as a smart, dependable, humorous, honest, straight arrow, and adventurous spirit. He was especially loved by Kiyomi's Japanese family, who are grateful to Warren and his family for their love and acceptance of Kiyomi into their lives, and the happy life that Kiyomi and Warren shared.
Warren is survived by wife Kiyomi, sister Darla Copeland Grose, brother Robert Walker, nieces Bethany (Troy) and Sharon (Kei), great nieces Ashley (Daniel), Kelly, and Sara, great nephews Nicholas, Waleed, and Aydin, and a great grand-niece Hazel. He was preceded in death by parents Betty and Ferrin Walker, and brother-in-law Gary Grose.
A visitation for Warren will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 West Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 5100 West Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205.
