BAILEY, Susan Ollie (69), Spokane, WA, passed in peace as she joined her Lord and Savior on January 28, 2019, after having fought a lengthy battle with leukemia. At her side was the family she loved so dearly; Husband of (30ish---years), Robert; son Sam, and step-daughter Tabitha. Sue was born in Spokane, WA on April 2nd, 1949. Sue grew up with one sister and two brothers in the farming community of Edwall, WA, where they were raised by their parents; Sam and Frances Peek, on the family’s dry-land wheat farm. She graduated from Reardan High School, and attended Central WA State College (before it became a University), and in her forties, received an Associate as a paralegal. She worked many years in the hospital setting from lab tech to “paper-pusher” as she referred to it. She tried working as a paralegal, but didn’t “cotton” to that work environment. Sue loved her music, flowers, and cooking for family and friends, and was happiest while providing help to others. Above all else, she cherished her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel A. and Frances Peek, and brother John Peek. Sue is survived by her husband, Robert D. Bailey, along with children: Loving son, Sam (Kim) Bailey of Spokane, and the daughter she has always wished for Tabitha Bailey of Ramona, CA. Grandchildren; Drew Bailey, Korbin Bailey and Noah Hasebaugher; Siblings: sister, Mary Peek-Hardt (Vern) of Auburn, WA; Brother Bill Peek (Mary Lee) of Snohomish, WA, and sister-in-law Grace Peek of Colorado. She loved marrying into a large family with dear sister and brother-in-laws a-plenty with many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Doctors Joni Nichols of CCNW, and our family physician, Dr. Keith Wilkens. They, and their staff, stood by all of us as Sue walked the twisted-road of Leukemia.
