Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend, Sharon Adams went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 12, 2021. She was born in Spirit Lake, ID on August 26, 1942 to Arthur Herman and Thelma Bartz. She was the eighth of 11 siblings and is survived by sisters Gloria, Millie, and Carol and brother, George. Sharon’s son, Tom, and his wife, Susanne, and their children, Weber, Noah, and Skye were the joy of her life as she spent months at a time visiting and sharing her life with them. She also leaves behind many beloved nephews and nieces, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Sharon grew up in Spirit Lake, ID and then moved to Spokane, WA where she cared for the elderly in nursing homes. In 1969 she met Bob Carl in Aberdeen, WA, and they were married for 10 years until his death in 1979. During their years together, they owned a logging and road building business, and spent many years in the Clearwater to Forks region and fishing/camping in the Olympic National Forest. She married Harry Adams in 1997. She loved the excitement of traveling with him when he delivered cedar shakes from the Olympic Peninsula to California for many years. Several years after Harry passed, Sharon and her sister, Carol, moved to Chehalis, WA. Sharon, Carol, and brother, George, resided on the same property in Deer Park, WA at the time her autoimmune disease took her life. Together, the three loved and supported one another through life’s journey of joys and trials.
Sharon was an exceptionally talented artist. She created beautiful handmade quilts, home furnishings, children’s clothing, and many of her own dresses, and clothing. Recently, she knitted 100’s of children’s hats she gave away to the disadvantaged, and many more for preemie newborns in the hospital. She also crafted numerous holiday decorations, painted ceramics, and home improvement accessories, as she was gifted with such talent and motivation. Some of her fondest memories were spent teaching her talents and working with her sisters, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, nephew, and grandnieces.
Preceded in death were siblings, Gale, Donald, John, Jeannette, Bob, Patsy, and husbands, Bob Carl, and Harry Adams. Sharon is survived by her son, Tom (Susanne), an estranged son Donald, grandchildren, Weber, Noah (Bri), and Skye, brother George, sisters Carol, Gloria, Millie.
Sharon’s laughter and love lit up a room. Her love of family and sense of humor will forever be remembered and missed… until we meet again!
