Ruth D. (Iversen) Havens (age 83) born in Fairview, Montana, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 with family at her side. During her 83 years she made many bonds with many hearts. The amazingly calm, gracious, kind and loving Granny Ruth leaves her legacy behind for so many of those hearts. We will dearly miss her great conversation and caring spirit. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald Havens; two sons, Gregg (Ethel) Havens and Larry (Barbara) Havens; three grandchildren, Michelle (Dale) Cluff, Julia (Gregory) Greeson and Kendall Havens; seven great-grandchildren, Shelby, Skyler, Trenton, Elyse, Grayden, Rorik and Karlaina; her brother, David Iversen; 12 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews and their families. Her father, mother and two sisters preceded her in death. She worked for Ma Bell in Spokane for 36 years as an operator where she made many good friends. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society after she retired. Ruth enjoyed traveling, camping, horse racing and gardening. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making everyone’s favorite “Granny Ruth” dishes. She cherished the company of friends and family, and those memories will live on in our hearts forever. Please join us in celebrating Ruth’s life at the Sons of Norway Hall, 6710 N. Country Homes Blvd, Spokane, WA 99208 on Saturday, March 27th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Ruth to the Spokane Hospice House or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N.
