On September 15, 2010 Roger A. Wilson stepped out of his temporal life and into an eternal one with his Lord and Savior. Roger was born February 20, 1924 to Wilfred and Katie Wilson in Didsbury, Alberta. They later moved to the Yakima Valley, where he grew up with his parents and his three siblings. In late 1943 Roger entered the US Army at Fort Lewis. He fought with the 743rd Tank Battalion in France, Belgium and Germany. Roger was awarded the Silver Star for his action during the Battle of the Bulge. Upon his return from the war, Roger began his career in road construction with F.R. Hewett and later N.A. Degerstrom as a Superintendant. He attended the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, where he was a member for 51 years. Roger is survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws, Robert Wilson, Steven and Terri Wilson, Michael and Janice Wilson; daughter, Lori Adams; granddaughters, Kailey and Kelsey; grandsons, Clayton and Josh; great-grandson, Dylan; sisters, Twyla Haneke and Arlene Schulz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Milton. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E. 20th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA.
