Robert L. Bender (age 79) passed away quietly at his home April 3, 2013. A 20 year retired Air Force veteran, he enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife. He was greatly known in the community for his tomatoes. He is survived by his three daughters, Arlene Paul (Wayne), Leona Read (Bill), Helen Nelsen (Ryan); three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; lots of good friends and neighbors; and his beloved dog, Little Girl. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
