Born August 3, 1939 and went to be with our Lord peacefully May 11, 2011 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Dick became an Ordained Evangelical Minister in 1996 and volunteered his time at the VA Medical for a number of years. He was proud of the fact that he could make others be at peace with God. Dick served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survived by his former wife Sharon Kay Fields with whom he was with for over 45 years; five daughters, Fawn Fields-Nelson - Mukilteo, WA, Margo Searls - Wilsonville, Ore, Shannon Stone (Tom) - Spokane, WA, Mary Fields - Allenstown, NH, Jeni Murphy (Tim) - Spokane, WA; three sons, Scott Fields (Brenda) - Spokane, WA, Matthew Francis - Kyllberg, Germany, Wade Fields - Spokane, WA; 14 grand-children, Dru Searls (Amy), - Spokane, WA, Rachelle Searls (Orrin) - Shelton, WA, Justin Fields (Ali) - Boise, ID, Brittany Fields, Concord, NH, Shari Fields - Old Orchard Beach, ME, Michael Nelson - Mukilteo, WA, Sara Stone - Spokane, WA, Rickie Fields (Leah) – Spokane, WA, Samie Fields – Spokane, WA, Ashlee Nelson – Mukilteo, WA, Dylon Fields – Spokane, WA. Also survived by his sister Janet Byzewski (Bob) - Yorktown, VA. There were 2 other men in Dicks life that Dick thought of as his sons, Mike Nelson of Spokane, WA and Terry Brodbeck of Green Bay, WI. Numerous nieces & nephews. Preceeded in death by 3 children Tammy, Jay & Kellee Fields, his parents Samuel O Fields & Bernice B Anderson, his brother Wayne H. Fields and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home.
