Phyllis Marie Fitzthum

Phyllis Fitzthum of Spokane passed away on 12/11/2021 at the age of 84. Phyllis was born on 4/8/1937 in Peach, WA to John Edward Flory and Ivy L. Lynn. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She loved baking, making quilts and spending time with the people she loved. She looked forward to the spring and planting new flowers from the local green house. Her faith and church were also very important to her, and family and friends will always remember her for her hours of volunteering and fabulous cookies. Phyllis married Don J. Fitzthum in 8/19/1959 and had 1 child together, Brad Fitzthum. Phyllis is survived by her son Brad Fitzthum and wife Veronica, granddaughter Madisen Fitzthum, her sister Georgia Nast; multiple nieces: Iva Wilhelm, Debbie Peterson, Judy Burke, Phyllis Flory; nephews: John Flory, Scott Flory and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Don J. Fitzthum, brother Ed Flory, sister Leatrice Seidel and niece Pam Sayler. Funeral services are schedule for 11-12pm on December 17, 2021, with visitation available 10-11am at Hope Lutheran Church located at 17909 E. Broadway Ave, Spokane Valley, WA. A committal service will follow at 1:45 pm at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery located at 21702 W. Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA. All are welcome to attend.
