Patricia McLaughlin was born in Spokane, Washington on February 25, 1938, and passed away August 13, 2017 in Spokane. She fought a long, difficult battle with Parkinson's disease for more than 10 years. She was raised in Spokane where she attended Wilson Elementary, Rogers High School, and Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She and her husband Tom lived in Spokane, and later had a farm in Deer Park. Over the course of their lifetime, they built a circle of friendships that continue to this day. This was never more apparent than these last few years as we never had a lack of love and concern for both of our parents. A wonderful legacy. Besides being a nurse by profession, she spent her lifetime helping others in her personal life as well. She loved being a member of DAR and Pro-America, and was very active in politics and elections. She was a member of the Peaceful Valley Church and loved her friends there. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Tom McLaughlin, her sister Sharon Meurer of Dallas, Texas, and her three children Mikki, Kathy, and Scott. She had ten grandchildren and nine great -grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lois Frissell, and a sister Barbara. She will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her, whether as wife, sister, mom, grandma, aunt, cousin, or friend. We are all better for having known her, and look forward to the day when we will all be together again.
