Mary Alice Grant

Mary Alice Grant, 85, was born on February 1, 1925 in Olive Branch, Mississippi to Mattie Mae (Bailey) and Walter Whitfield Harrol and passed away on May 13, 2010 in Spokane Valley, WA. She is survived by five children, Shirley Blanke, Ernest Grant, Dale Grant, Faye Pond and Linda Van Voorhis and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Grant; long-time friend and companion, John and two sons, Larry Grant and Johnny Grant.

Mary Alice was a homemaker and fantastic cook and seamstress. She loved her shoes, jewelry and clothes and was always up for shopping. She was the best mother-in-law you could ever ask for. She had lived in Memphis, TN, Venice, CA, Parker, AZ, Salem, OR and for the last 10 years in Mica, WA.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. followed by funeral services at 2:00 P.M. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA with Pastor Donnie Johnson officiating. Private interment will be at Pines Cemetery, Spokane Valley.
