He lived in South Dakota through his childhood and graduated from Dakota State University in Madison, SD. He started his career with John Morrell & Co., first in their computer department and then as a sales representative. As a sales representative he found what he really enjoyed doing and went on to represent several different Food Service Companies over his working life. He enjoyed golfing and in 1975 he took up drumming and was in several bands, currently he was playing with the “Triple Shot”, a blues and classic rock band in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area. He taught his son, Sean to drum and he is currently carrying on the family music tradition. In 1985 he moved to the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area from South Dakota. His happiest times were spent, being surrounded by his family and friends.
Marty is survived by his wife, Debby Boe; two sons, Sean Boe and Ian Boe and wife, Jen; three step-children, Craig Burnette, Bryan Burnette and April Burnette; four brothers, Tom Boe and wife, Pam, Jeff Boe and wife, Debbie, Bob Boe and wife, Mary and David Boe and wife, Veronica; sister, Lori Boe; three step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tim Boe in 2013.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Colonial Chapel of Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Rd, Spokane Valley. The family suggests that memorials may be made to your local food bank in Marty’s honor.
