Marilyn Kay Klock, age 80, from Spokane, WA went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2023. She trusted in Jesus, and because of this, she is now worshipping in God’s presence. She was born on September 15, 1943 in Colfax, WA, to Herb and Verna Broweleit and grew up on the farm, surrounded by her four brothers and her cousins. She went to Whitworth College and graduated from WSU with her teaching degree.
She married her high school sweetheart, Larry Klock on September 6, 1963, and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They lived in Spokane for most of their married lives where they raised their two children Mindy Buller and Loren Klock. She was a stay-at-home mom, and actively involved in all eight of her grandchildren’s lives.
Marilyn’s passion was teaching the Bible to people of every age. In her younger years she was involved in Bible Study Fellowship. She also worked tirelessly developing Sunday School Bible curriculum for children. She loved to team with other women to write Bible studies for women’s ministry and had over 79 chapters of the Bible memorized. Over the last few years, she was very involved with planting Community Bible Church. She was known for being a woman of prayer.
She is survived by Larry, her husband; Mindy (daughter) and her husband Dan; Loren (son) and his wife Erica; her four brothers and spouses-Dennis and Jan, Larry and Glenyce, David and Kay and Randy and Jennifer; her grandchildren -Annsley (and husband AJ), Seth (and wife Jessica), Katie, Samuel, Levi, Luke, Sigmund, and Benjamin; and her great-grandchild Ronin.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Lawrence and John; and her parents Herb and Verna.
