Today an angel here on earth left us to be in God’s loving care. Lynda lived her life giving to her family. She took care of us, watched over us, and gave each of us unconditional love. She is preceded in death by her mother and father. It was their example of the importance and love of family that Lynda, through her love and kindness, shared and passed on to her family. Her husband Gion, daughter Jenny, son Alex and daughter-in-law Tara were the apples of her eye and the focus of her daily living. Travel almost anywhere was also a joy to her. She had several opportunities to visit places she loved with the people she loved. Her sisters and brothers-in-law Stasia and Paul, Kathy and Dudley, and Susie and Dave were also recipients of her loving and giving personality. Her extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins all shared the love she so freely gave.
Lynda was born on August 6, 1943 in Albert Lea, MN. Most of her life was spent in Spokane after graduating from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT. She was an elementary teacher until the time came to raise her family. From that point on, taking care of them was her joy, her mission, and her breath. She unselfishly gave loving care of both her mother and mother-in-law during the last years of their lives.
She was taken from us by cancer, a disease that robbed her of the chance to see her new granddaughter coming in December, and the travels she had planned in the coming years. In lieu of flowers we know that Lynda would ask that donations be given to The American Cancer Society at https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate/donateonlinenow/index or mail a donation to PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718
Lynda’s greatest wish would be that this disease be eradicated so that no other human or family would ever have to face the pain, fear, loss of quality of life or a life taken too soon.
Following her wishes, instead of a memorial service, celebrate her life by remembering her beautiful smile and special gifts.
