Lin was born on 23 September, 1951 in Frederick, MD. She graduated from Hinkley High School in Aurora, CO and continued on to receive a Professional Certificate from Spokane Community College. She worked as a Data Entry Specialist for Several Companies including Merck-Medco, Humanix and Washington Trust Bank for her final 12 years prior to retirement in 2013.
Lin enjoyed anything involving singing, music, theatre and family gatherings. She was involved in several musical groups with either guitar or singing, had the opportunity to sing in Carnegie Hall (a lifelong dream), wrote and produced music for a few performing musical groups such as Liberty Express, The North Idaho Madrigal Chamber Group, The North Idaho College Professional Concert Choir, Sonrise and several others throughout her life. She absolutely loved to sing and perform any chance she got. She also took great pride in continuously rescuing and caring for several older dogs from SCRAPS, Craigslist and other less than desirable living situations, until they passed on, which truly filled her heart with joy to have given so many a home with so much happiness, joy and love prior to their passing.
Lin is survived by her sister Peggy, nephews Kevin and Chris, and hundreds of other loving cousins, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents William “Bert” Johnson and Virginia “Mad” Johnson.
The family of Linda Marie Johnson wishes to thank Valley Fourth Church for donating their facility for the service, Pastor Joe Pursch of Valley Fourth for all the visits, prayers and guidance throughout this process, Pastor John Underhill for presiding over the service, Countless volunteers and staff from Valley Fourth Memorial for preparing / organizing the service and reception and most important of all, the many cousins, family and friends who have helped throughout the entire process and during her 6 week hospital stay.
