Leona was born on a farm between Odessa and Reardan, Washington to Gotthilf and Lena Raugust. She graduated from Reardan high school and attended Northwestern Business College.
Leona enjoyed family, friends, traveling, gardening, volunteering, bridge, and various activities offered at Riverview Retirement Center such as Logan School readers and Bell Choir. She was a lifetime member and past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star at Cheney.
She married Alfred Henry Chase on March 31, 1935 and 14 years later they bought and managed the Marshall, WA General Store and later the post office until their retirement. Leona was preceded in death by her husband in 2001. She is survived by her children, Alfred (Sharon) Chase, Karen Davidson, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, one brother, Calvin Raugust plus nieces and nephews. Her family was very important to her and she loved them as they loved her and she will be missed.
Due to the pandemic, there will be no service at this time.
