Lenora returned home to the Father, September 19, 2017. She was born August 23, 1921, in Spokane, Washington, to Otto and Olive Jensen. She attended Franklin Grade School and Lewis & Clark High School.
Lenora met her husband Harry at Natatorium Park on July 4th and was married in 1940 at the age of 19. They lived in Grand Coulee, California, and later returned to Spokane. Lenora was a wonderful homemaker for her family. She loved children and helped in Lincoln Grade School in the 1960’s. She was there so much the janitor told her, “you should bring down a cot to sleep on, you practically live here.” She also worked as a Sunday School teacher at First Covenant Church and as a Vacation Bible School teacher for many decades. Lenora’s entire life was dedicated to Jesus and His teachings. It showed in her kindness, thoughtfulness, and self-sacrifice towards others. She loved singing about Him in her home.
Lenora’s husband, Harry, of 64 years passed away in 2005 and her sister, Blanche Cromer in 2004. She is survived by her son, Lawrence Pachosa; daughter, Linda and husband, Gordon Habbestad; granddaughter, Jamie; great-grandson, Nathan; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1:00PM at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home in the Alwin Chapel 1306 N Monroe, Spokane. Following the service friends are welcome to Lenora’s home at 18 W 6th Ave, Spokane, Washington.
