Katy Kerns

Kaye was born on May 28, 1917 and passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2011. Kaye was born in Southey, Saskatchewan and then moved to Regina, Saskatchewan when she was 3 years old. Kaye was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She spent her life taking care of her husband and two boys and giving of herself to anyone in need. She loved cooking and baking for everyone, loved sharing a cup of tea with anyone who would stop by the house and was always there to lend a listening ear. She is survived by her son Glenn (Christy) Kerns, her daughter in law Becky Kerns, two grand children Heather and Catherine, brother Robert (Mary) Zaran, sister Esther (Ted) Boulter, brother George Zaran and many nephews and nieces. Kaye was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Melvin her son Kenneth, her sister Sophie Zaran, sister Betty (Bill) Pitman, and her brother Dave Zaran. A memorial service will be held at Ridgeview Christian Center at 5610 N. Ash, Spokane, WA (509) 326-2913 on Wednesday June 29th 2011 at 3:00 PM. Private interment at Fairmont Memorial Park, Spokane, Washington.Mother was loved by everyone who ever met her. She will be greatly missed.
