Loretta and I were just talking about the summers her and I spent with Kathy and Julie and the fun we used to have driving up tower Mountain and Kathy yoldling as we drove by the neckers, and the drivein movies after a pizza at Shakies and crusing through I think it was called Happy Valley where the poor people lived. Those wonderful memories will always be in our hearts.She was an awesome person and so full of life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family . We so wish we could have come today but did not know exactly when the funeral was and didn't have time to make arraingements at our jobs.

It seems that every year, we Aquino cousins all get to recount the old days at Aunt Kathy & Uncle Rich's house. By the end we are all belly laughing at the good times & fond memories of time with family. The adventure would always start with Kathy & Rich agreeing to host a slumber party and the squealing tires as our grateful parents dropped us off & sped away. All of our little faces would light up with smiles as Aunt Kathy would announce a trip to the store for candy or pull a store's candy section out of her cupboard. The rules were different at Heather's house... We could scream, run, play, etc. There were few rules, as long as we were all playing together and having fun! You would think that all of this playing would make for an early night for a bunch of kids, but you would be wrong... Aunt Kathy loved horror movies & enjoyed letting us watch the ones we couldn't watch at home (I saw Rosemary's Baby there, on a candy high that would've made Jim Morrison jealous). At least they chose to keep a giant creepy clown in the basement for me to look at while lying awake on the candy high waiting for sleep to come so I could get the inevitable nightmares out of the way :) All of these extreme sensations caused one common feeling in all of us. We loved to stay at Heather's because it was like a roller coaster, lots of fun but kinda scary. Most importantly, we were loved and we had fun with each other and Kathy always made sure of that! I will always remember her passion for children, love and family. The exposure to such an intense caring about these things is what I will always remember about my Aunt Kathy.

I'm sorry for that she's gone so soon.  I remember her always smiling and how nice she was to all of us kids.

I always loved getting to stay at Aunt Kathie's when I was growing up.  We got to watch great movies like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and eat pizza.  My fondest memory though is when I was spending the night at their house and I was having trouble sleeping and feeling scared.  Aunt Kathie anointed me with oil and prayed with me and immediately the feeling of being afraid was gone.  I felt so loved by her in that moment, and I will never forget it.  I love you, Aunt Kathie!

Always a smile and kind words to follow.A very gracious lady taken far to soon and will be missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her loved ones.

So many good times together! Kathie was thoughtful, kind and generous. I loved spending time with her and Heidi at the pool, going to lunch or hanging out on her deck in the summer. RIP Kathie, say hi to Tony for me.

We will remember Kathie's smile and thoughtful ways. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

Kathie was so lovely, so gentle, accepting and kind.  She had a real fondness for animals and children.  It was a great adventure to get to go to Mexico with Kathie, Heather and cousins.  The illness was a heartbreaker, but though her family still misses her, Kathie is now at Peace.

Kathie took care of me when I got home from the hospital.  I was in for 40 days. She stayed with me day and night.  All I did was sit or sleep.  Then one day I said to myself "I have to start doing things".  Until then I did nothing, and Kathie took care of me.

Dear Heather and Family, Our deepest sympathy to you all. A mother holds a special place in our hearts. Remember the good times. This will keep you strong. God Bless.

Kathie was a bright spot in my life after I first moved to Spokane; in fact, she was the first real friend I made here.  I loved working with her and hanging out together, rafting, sitting in the hot tub, going out for coffee.  Love her!!

We all have such awesome memories of fun times together - laughing, shopping, trying to get in shape with our Richard Simmons Video, river rafting, and laughing some more!  I will always remember those great times with Kathie! Love, thoughts and prayers to you, Heather and Heidi.

Rest in heaven dear Kathie.  No more pain or confusion.  Rejoice with loved ones who awaited your arrival .  You were so generous to all. Our hearts are sad.

Heather and Heidi, I use to work with your mom at the DD home and we were friends. I thought she was a such a beautiful woman inside and out. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Too many to list but fondest memories of her are craning all of us in her vw rabbit and taking us to the beach. Also all the stuff her and my mom would do together... Same hair same nails same giant denim purses. She had such a beautiful heart. My mom also sends her love. Kathy was very much one of her very best friends. We couldn't have grown up with better neighbors
