Karen Meta Lynch was born on April 25, 1950 in Spokane, WA. She graduated from Cheney High School in 1968, and from Kelsey Baird Business School in 1969 with a focus in Secretarial Skills. She worked for Eastern Washington University Childcare Center in Cheney, WA from 1997 to 2014 and for NW Microfilm from 1987-1990. Throughout her life she was also a loving homemaker, taking care of many families along the way.
Karen was community-minded and loved to love people. She was deeply involved with the Spokane Adult and Teen Challenge as a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary for many years. She was also a member of Hayford Community Church. She enjoyed crafting, sewing/crocheting, music, and spending time with her family and many grandchildren. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving woman with a strong faith in God who put her whole being into taking care of people.
Karen is survived by her husband Lyndon, her mother Doris Niemeyer, her siblings John Niemeyer, David Niemeyer, and Paul (Laurie) Niemeyer, her children Vicki and Naaman Pallo, Kim James, and Brian Lynch, her grandchildren Ashley and Alvin Chak, Caitlin and Darrell Klein, Lucas James, Jonah James, Carina Pallo, and Madelyn Pallo. She is also survived by her 5 great-grandchildren, Ruby and Jax Klein, and Matthias, Eleanor, and Timothy Chak and numerous siblings, cousins and other family members.
A Memorial Service for Karen is scheduled for 1:30 pm on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Hayford Community church. Preceding the service, a viewing is scheduled from 10 am to 12 pm at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend the service and the viewing to honor Karen’s life.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made in Karen’s honor to the Spokane Adult and Teen Challenge.
