A lifelong love of airplanes led John to join the Air force and serve as a Cargo Loadmaster. After the Air Force, he married Linda and they had a son, Jason. John and Linda divorced, and John returned to Spokane, where he began working at Interlake School/Lakeland Village as an Attendant Counselor, and later as a Physical Therapy Aide. It was there he met Peggy and had two daughters, Amanda and Ashley.
John’s favorite pastimes were running, golf, and building model airplanes. He loved to discuss politics and history, and was an avid reader. He was a member of the Spokane Plastic Model Club and active in his church, where he served as Clerk for the Bishop’s Committee.
John was preceded in death by his father, William. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn, his son, Jason and his wife and children, his daughter Amanda and her husband, his daughter Ashley and her husband and children, as well as his brother, David, his sisters, Anne and Amy, and several nieces and nephews.
