JoAnn Heritage Anderson went home to be with the Lord on December 4th, 2014 after a courageous battle following a stroke. She was born in Spokane to Ernest and Elva Heritage and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1953. JoAnn was married to Philip Neil Anderson 59 years 11 months. She loved to travel, spending time in Australia, Scotland and Hawaii. She also visited all four corners of the United States and Canada. She spent 2 years living in Columbia, S. Carolina, 5 months in Rockhampton, Australia, and enjoyed many summers at their cabin at Sullivan Lake. JoAnn enjoyed buying and refurnishing antique furniture. She collected paintings by Maxfield Parrish, antique biscuit jars and lamps, light-up Christmas snowmen, Beanie Babies and wrist watches. She attended all four major golf tournaments. She also attended most of the Public Links Championships throughout the last five decades. JoAnn is survived by her husband, Phil, her son, Eric, her twin daughters, Susan Matlock (Randy) and Christine Bergland (Geof), and five grandchildren, her younger sisters, Barbara Bennett and Sally Dauenhauer, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was very fond of her cousin, Ron Leonard and she adored her dogs, cats and horses. A memorial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th at 2pm at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home at 1400 South Pines Road in the Valley. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to S.C.R.A.P.S., 6815 E.
