Jeanne Hobik Wilton

Passed away June 19, 2017 in Spokane, WA. Jeanne was born May 12, 1929 to Edward and Ann Hobik in Chicago, IL. She spent her childhood in Chicago and attended Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School and then went on to the Chicago Institute of Art for a short time to study art and design. She then worked at Western Electric where she met Earl Wilton. They were married May 7, 1949. Earl was transferred to Portland, OR where they spent 15 years and then transferred to Spokane, WA in 1974.

Jeanne attended Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church. She loved cooking, gardening, her German Shepherd dogs. She enjoyed Garden Club and Newcomers where she was involved in Bridge, Gourmet and Quilting.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; and her parents. She is survived by her children Michael (Monica), Susan and Sharon Wilton; brother Donald (Jeanne) Hobik; grandchildren David, Stephanie and Sean Wilton; niece Kathleen Horne; and nephews Daniel and Andrew Hobik.

A memorial service will be held at Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, 4102 S Crestline St, Spokane, WA, Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Hospice House South, 367 E 7th Ave, Spokane, WA 99202.
