Jack Richard Allen

Jack Richard Allen passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita, his forever Valentine. He is survived by his four children, Josette Tran, Tina Roberts, Serena Allen and Nicholas Allen; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers Chuck and Ron Allen; three brothers in-law; four sisters in-law; nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Jack was born on August 27, 1945 in Anacortes, Washington. He had a lifelong love for trees and walking along the beach. He was an excellent cook and spent his life cooking as a career and enjoying the praise he received from others when they tasted his food. He had a way of making people laugh and he loved music of all genres, drawing and writing his own poetry. He passed away in Newport, Washington, but lived many years in both Tacoma and Westport. His unique qualities brought a spark to our lives and he will be missed greatly and remembered always.

There will be a private graveside service for family in the spring at New Tacoma Cemetery, University Place. Friends and loved ones are encouraged to simply plant a tree or take a leisurely stroll along the beach in remembrance of him.
