Helen Marie Hunter

(age 92)

Passed away March 2, 2017, in Spokane, WA. She was born on May 20, 1924, in Spokane to Charles and Selma McCoy. Helen attended North Central High School. She loved the year she worked as an usher at a Spokane movie theater before going to work in propeller manufacturing at Hamilton Standard. It was while making propellers that she met Cecil Hunter, Jr. They later married and celebrated 73 years together. Helen and Cecil loved ballroom dancing. She also enjoyed gardening. Helen went on to work at the Crescent and later Frederick & Nelson.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Cecil; daughter Pam (Carl) Snyder; son Ron (Valerie) Hunter; five grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017, 10 AM, at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N Monroe, Spokane, WA, with burial to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
