Harold “Pat” Faast was born May 12, 1928 in Minong, Wisconsin and passed away August 4, 2021 in Spokane following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He leaves behind Darlene, his wife of 73 years; four children, Michael Faast, Carol Horner, Patrick Faast, Julie Nelson; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Their daughters and numerous grands reside in the Spokane area. Their sons reside in Belleview and Beau, WA, and they have two grands in Lynnwood and Canada as well as eight great-grands.
Pat worked at Boeing in Seattle for 42 years. He enjoyed 32 years of retirement. The Faasts lived in Renton for 63 years, moving to Spokane in 2011.
Pats hobby was woodworking. A master craftsman his beautiful creations included china hutches, tables, cribs for grandchildren, antique cars and trucks, a spinning wheel and grandfather clock.
He was a World War II veteran and served in occupied Japan. He was very proud to be a veteran. He was also a master chef. He attended cooking school in Japan in 1946 while in the US Army.
