Myers, Glen William (Age 80) Went to be with his heavenly Father on June 5, 2011. He passed peacefully in his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born to Floyd and Myrtle Myers on October 7, 1930, in Loveland, CO as the youngest of five children, Glen spent most of his youth in Loveland before moving to Twin Falls, ID in 1945. On April 18, 1949 he married the love of his life, Pearl Ester Koeppen of Elko, NV. They moved their family to Spokane in 1956. Glen worked in the automotive industry for 35 years before retiring in 1998 from Camp Chevrolet in Spokane, WA. Glen has been a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church since 1956. He played an active role in his faith acting as a lay minister and taking joy in his faith.
Glen’s interests included traveling, dancing with his wife, Gonzaga basketball, Mariners baseball, woodworking, fishing, but most of all spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by 2 beloved sons, Neil Dean Myers 1955 and Sheldon Glen Myers 2002, who has been left unsupervised for much too long and is probably in so much trouble by now that he needs his Dad by his side.
