Genevieve Morehouse Dupree of Spokane WA, went straight to Heaven with Angels on November 10, 2010. Born in Andover, SD November 1, 1916 to Cyrus and Myrtle McKinney Morehouse, she was one of fourteen children and an identical twin with her sister Geneva. The twins moved to Spokane, WA in 1934 with their brother Glenn. She married Donald A. Dupree in 1936 at the Coeur d’Alene hitching post. They had seven children. Gen worked as a laboratory aide at the old St. Lukes hospital for many years. She loved watching game shows, reading and playing cards (taking money from her children). In earlier years she enjoyed cooking, playing bingo and going to garage sales. Her family was her greatest joy. She never forgot their birthdays or a special occasion. She is survived by her sons; James (Carolee) Dupree of Seattle WA, Glenn (Chris) Dupree, and Gary (Jan) Dupree of Spokane, WA; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Dupree; sons Charles Dupree, George Dupree; daughter Charlotte and her husband Dave Ochoa, daughter Donna Dupree, her parents, and all her siblings. A special thank-you to Dr. Rehman and staff (Rosie), her dedicated care givers Deanna, Iesha, Russanne, Chrystal, and Bree. A Visitation will be held Friday November 19, 2010 from 2:00-8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Memorial service will be held November 20, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers her family suggests a donation in her name to the American Cancer Society. She was cherished and loved by everyone who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
