Age 89
Floyd went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2015.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carrie; Five children, Phil (Pauline) Low of Spokane, WA, Carol (Bob) Waddell of Spokane, WA, Glen (Cheryl) Low of Colbert, WA, Shirley (Gary) Hill of Spokane, WA, Dave (Phyllis) Low of Yakima, WA; eleven grandchildren Katrina Low, Sean Low, Angela Gaddis, Jonathon Gaddis, Shawn Kae Kelly, Tyler Low, Sasha Clark, Zach Low, Brandon Hill, Tim Hill, Alecia Hill; and three great-grandchildren, Zion Redfox, Analea Redfox, and Annie Hill.
He was born February 10, 1926 in Odessa, WA. He was one of seven children of Lester and Mary Low. He graduated from Ritzville High School in 1945 and later moved to Spokane where he met his wife. Floyd and Carrie had a heart for children and served the foster care program of Washington for 31 years.
Floyd supported his family working for Armour meat packing plant in Spokane, WA for 21years. Not one to sit around, he continued to work as a carpenter and built three family homes in Spokane, WA. He served on the elder board at Marshall Community Church and Southside Assembly. His love for the Lord, family and neighbors was evident through his humble and generous service that he freely offered to anyone in need. He and Carrie enjoyed many trips around the United States during their retirement years. As a loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at The First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N Country Homes Blvd, Spokane, WA 99218. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cheney Care Center.
