Beck, Florence L. (age 93) went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2011. She is survived by her children: her son, Doug Beck and her daughters, Raola Durheim and Rosanna Steele; her grandchildren: Alaina Beck Hogan, Dawni Ann (Josh) Kapsch, Matthew Durheim, Aloar (Julie) Durheim, Hoss (Michelle) Durheim, and Justin Durheim; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jacob O. Beck, Sr. in 1988 and by her seven siblings. Florence was born in Summit Valley, WA in 1918 and graduated from Jenkins High School in Chewela, WA in 1937 before moving to Spokane Valley where they started the family dairy farm in 1950. She was a very active member of Hope Lutheran Church since 1955, and was an avid gardener, baker, and pinochle player. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 17909 E. Broadway, Spokane Valley, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane, P.O.
