Dorothy Mabel Sappington

(Age 90)

Mom went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 17, 2014 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was born on December 25, 1923 in Cohasset, MN to John and Alma Oberg. She married her sweetheart, Michael Myers, in September of 1939. In 1948, they moved to North Idaho and loved the area and decided to stay. Having lost our dad in 1983, Mom met a wonderful man named Claude Sappington and they married in October of 1985.

Mom loved to bake and do crafts. She enjoyed camping and picking huckleberries, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, her church family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma; brothers, Frank and James; sisters, Julia Wint, Ione Moseng Buvik, and Leone Moseng; husband, Michael Myers; husband, Claude Sappington; sons, Michael Brent and Richard Myers; daughter, DeAnna Myers; one granddaughter, two great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

Mom is survived by sisters, Audrey Root of Russell, MN, and Laura Nelson of Pinehurst, ID; daughters, Gloria King Marshall (Jim) of Newman Lake, WA; Patsy Myers of Coolidge, AZ; Brenda Brown of Colbert, WA; Laura Lee Ferguson (Jim) of Post Falls, ID; daughter-in-law, Marcia Myers; stepchildren, Claude Wayne, Larry and Donnie Sappington, and Elaine Hammer; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren; and fourteen great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Lifeway Chapel, 501 W. 15th, Post Falls, ID on December 27, 2014 at 2:00pm.
