Passed away July 13th, 2013. Don was born on April 3rd, 1928 to Nick and Flossie Pentas. He followed in his family footsteps and went to work for Northern Pacific Railroad. Starting as a Time Keeper and later learning the art of telegraphy he worked many railway stations in the Spokane area before he was promoted and transferred to Tacoma, Wa. in November of 1962. This promotion was followed by five other advancements ending a very successful career as BN Transport, Vice President Western Division. After retirement Don enjoyed many years of growing and sharing the produce from his large garden, playing pinochle with family and friends, and spending time with family at his property up north (the farm). Don was preceded in death by is wife of 64 years, Joy, and his brothers Jim and Ken Pentas. Don is survived by his son Michael Pentas (Roberta) of Broken Arrow, OK, daughter Sue Knudsen (Dean) of Spokane; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Dad you will greatly missed - Rest in Peace.
