She leaves behind her beloved husband of 34 years, Rene D Garcia. Dianne was born in Bremerton, Washington. She was raised in Rathdrum, Idaho and attended Coeur d’ Alene High School. She is preceded in death by her father Stanley M. Votova, her mother Elaine L. Darling, her stepfather Lester E. Darling, and her daughter Sarah D. Garcia-Milam.
Dianne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Her passion was spending time with her family. She loved cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events, throwing BBQ’s at her home, working in her yard, planting flowers, cooking and planning wonderful family holiday get togethers.
Dianne and her husband loved spending time together. They built a home on 5 acres and created a happy loving place to share with their children and grandchildren. Dianne always looked forward to Spring. She loved working in her yard, planting her flowers, filling her hummingbird feeders, and setting out her patio furniture, all in anticipation for the long Summer days she would be sharing with her family. Dianne always looked forward to throwing a 4th of July/birthday party for her husband every summer. It was the biggest and best BBQ of the season. At the end of the day the fireworks were amazing. She was extremely proud to be able to give her family memories to last a life time. As Fall would approach, she enjoyed feeding the deer that would always wander into her yard. She cherished being able to share nature's wonders with all her grandkids. She was a generous and loving woman that opened up her home and heart to all she met. Ask anyone and they will tell you Dianne was an amazing cook. She enjoyed baking, particularly during the holidays. She enjoyed sharing her baked goods with family, friends and neighbors. Her specialties were chocolate chip Cookies, banana bread, carrot cake and potato salad, to name a few. Every Christmas she was known for her Holiday cookie boxes. Dianne knew who liked which cookie and made sure everyone had their favorites. Dianne also loved baking Sugar cookies with her homemade buttercream frosting. Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Easter, she would make sugar cookies and have her grandkids over to frost and decorate. These are the things she enjoyed the most.
Dianne was not only a wonderful housewife, mother and grandmother, Dianne had a passion for caring for children. This lead her to working as a child care provider both outside the home as well as in her own home. Over the years she has lovingly cared for many children. She was loving and nurturing women. A truly amazing beautiful lady.
In addition to her beloved husband, Dianne leaves behind her daughter Michelle (Ken), her son Tim (Renee), her daughter Robyn (Jon), her stepson Richard(Susanne) and her stepson Troy (Heather). Dianne was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren; Tamarra, Brandon, Randy, Mckenzie, Trevor, Marquis, Dalen, Alyssa, Tylor, Phillip, Savannah, Gabriella, Ryan and Matthew and 5 great grandchildren; Tayton, Roland, Shariah, Dante, and Vincent.
Dianne was one of nine children. She also leaves behind her sisters Sue, Lynda, Barb, Karen, Cheryl, Kathy, and brothers Dean and Gary. Dianne was a proud Aunt to 5 nieces, 11 nephews 14 great-nieces and 12 great-nephews. Dianne was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be greatly missed.
