David Eric Nelson

David Eric Nelson (Age 54) David was born on June 30, 1963 in Spokane WA to Bruce G Nelson and Bette (Nelson) Weiss. He passed away at Hospice House of Spokane on November 24th after being diagnosed with lung cancer just 6 months ago. He graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1981. He moved to the Seattle area after graduation and worked at Sound Ford in Renton for 26 years. After finding an old classmate on Facebook, David moved back to Spokane to start a new life with his future bride, Janet (Peterson) Nelson. He has worked the last 6 years at LHM Lexus, where he has made many friendships. David loved his hotrods and participating in local car shows. He was also an avid model car builder, winning many awards. When there was time in between car events, Dave and Janet cherished their time camping in their travel trailer at Priest Lake with family and friends.

David is preceded in death by his dad Bruce in 2016 and sister Denise Nelson Chandler just 2 months ago. He is survived by his wife Janet, mom Bette Weiss, brother Richard Nelson, close friend and brother in law Gregg Chandler, and his 2 German Shepherds (4 legged kids) Zephyr and Neva. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.

Our family would like to thank Dr. Srivalli Gopaluni and staff at CCNW and Hospice of Spokane for their compassionate care.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM with reception to follow at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home 5100 W. Wellesley Rd., Spokane, WA 99205.
